約翰收集了紅、藍、銀三種顏色超過2萬個瓶蓋，總重超過59公斤，花了兩個月的時間就組成了這幅驚人的作品。他說，通常這麼大尺寸的作品至少要大約一年的時間。後來約翰還帶著他的作品到加州的印第奧（Indio）參加「驛馬音樂節」（Stagecoach Music Festival）。

美國紐約曼哈頓有名藝術家約翰（John T. Unger），因為擅長利用廢舊的鋼鐵、瓶蓋完成藝術作品而聞名。日前他製作了一幅名為「往日的榮耀」（Old Glory）的巨型美國國旗作品，面積約為3X4.8公尺，整件作品就全都由百威啤酒（Budweiser）的瓶蓋所組成。
